The wife and I headed to Black Mountain for the 4th of July. The weather was ok, not too hot (maybe low 80s) during the day but cool in the shade. Here is one of the many boulders I found this weekend. Well, I don't know if I am the first one to find it, but it seemed like nobody had ever tried to climbed it. It is a very tall overhanging arete, (15+ feet) with a nice landing. I only attempted the start because I didn't want to risk a long fall with no spotter. On this same boulder there seems to be a few other problems, but the arete seems to be the one that stand out the most.
